Minutes for Redfield Home and Garden Club Meeting

Officer’s Reports
o President: Kim Gravely and Catherin Martin
- Website and Email for communication – I posted the minutes from the last meeting. I hope this is an efficient way to keep everyone up to date. If anyone is having any problems, please let me know.
- Auction – Thank you to Mega for graciously hosting the auction again this year. We have two charities that have been nominated to receive the funds from the auction. Both Paula Fowler and Mega have nominated Jeffery’s Voice. Paula will present the charity. The other charity that has been nominated is Pebble Tossers, Jen Guynn’s charity. Pebble Tossers has been nominated by Kristen Erdman, Kim Kukler, Linda Brogdon and I have all nominated Pebble Tossers. Linda will present for all of us.
- Lisa Gill is running the auction. The price will most likely be $45 per couple or $20 per person for all food and drink. Robin Isaf researching cater.
- Pebble Tossers is a children’s volunteer organization founded by Redfield Members in 2008. It hopes to build our volunteers of the future and children can use the website to pick the activities they would like to be involved in.
- Jeffrey’s Voice is a blood cancer research charity that was started by a family who used to live in Redfield. They lost both sons in a 5 month period. They are also having a fun run on November 12th if anyone is interested.
- We will do voting on Survey Monkey, online. We will use the email address you provided when you paid your dues. If you did not provide one then please make sure we have the correct one. You can email me at kim.gravely@gmail.com with your email address. Only people who are current Home and Garden members will be included in the voting. The email will go out tomorrow. If you cannot vote online for any reason, you can give Catherine or me a note tonight or in my mailbox, Kim Gravely (5354 Redfield Rd).
o First Vice President – Erin Byrd:
- Holiday decorations –Update on any possible options. - Erin was not present to give us an update.
o Second VP – Lisa Gill:
- Auction - Kim Gravely gave update as Lisa had to be late to the meeting.
o Treasurer – Jenny Schulman - Jenny was not present.
- Treasurer report
- Announce how many members this year.
o Secretary – Amy Sand
o Programs - Robin Cochran: All meeting locations, topics, and dates will be posted. Robin to give Kim future meeting locations and venues so she can update the website.
o Hospitality - Martha Keim: We may need someone to host the April 2012 meeting. Need a new location for the end of year dinner. Need more people to volunteer each week to bring wine.
o Luminaries – Robin Isaf and Janna Benston.
o Yard of the Month - Lauren Black and Brooke Taylor
- Went to Jim and Laurie Lindell (1225 Redfield Ridge)
o Publicity/Website – Vicky James
o Inspiration – Cary Kresl
- Shared a hunger story about a 5 year old that started collecting food for the homeless. Cary is collecting food donations to be collected on October 29th so contact her if you would like to donate.
o Horticulture – Ashley Mast
o Sunshine – Paige Meier and Becky Springer
o Pamela presented some recipes for easy chicken during the week.
- Kim is going to try to set up a website for everyone’s favorite recipes so we can use as a resource.
